Downloading to an ENPAC 2500

I am experiencing problems while downloading a route from the Emonitor software to an ENPAC 2500. The synchronizing time has increased to the point where we cannot select the route from the list. We have a multi user network version and each user has the same problem to varying degrees depending on the speed of their PC. Changing datacollectors or cables does not change the problem. Slowing down the baud rate did work for some time but no longer has any effect. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Re: Downloading to an ENPAC 2500

Hi.. I am also a network Emonitor user and have Enpac2500's (and a mix of other models and brands). Of the lot, its a mix of serial, USB, SRAM, and SD cards. I have not yet had your experiences with downloading to the Enpac, but have had a few instances where the USB link wouldnt quite work right. Closing the Load/Unload and reopening sometimes helped. Other times, unplugging the USB cable from the Enpac and replugging helped. In general, after selecting the collector and selecting the communication port (USB in my case), I always exit the load/unload and replug the USB into the Enpac... What Enpac2500 firmware version are you using? [About from the main Enpac screen] Are you using the serial connection to the Enpac or the USB connection? If USB, what version of ActiveSync is installed? Is the Enpac an ActiveSync "Guest" or is there a "Partnership"? Load/Unload problems can be so frustrating! Brian :-)

Re: Downloading to an ENPAC 2500

We have determined that the problem was with the serial cable that connects the PC to the data collector. The problem went away after replacing the cable.

Thanks for your help.
