want to monitor a panel 24VDC power supply via an analog board.

We have a 24vdc power supply that supplies the control panel voltage for a very important control panel in our plant. Lately we have been experiencing power dips from the 24VDC power supply and want to constantly monitor this voltage level and send it via an analog input board to our main plant production monitoring system.

We have a 1785-5/40B processor and the current Analog boards we have only have the capability of monitoring 0-10VDC inputs. Does anyone know if AB offers an analog input board capable of excepting a 24VDC signal?  Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks!

Re: want to monitor a panel 24VDC power supply via an analog board.

Barry,

Try Phoenix Contaсt MINI MCR-SL-U-UI-NC (p/n 2865007).

Input:The signals 0...24 V and 0...30 V can be processed on the input side.

Output: The analog signals 0...20 mA, 4...20 mA, 0...10 V, 2...10 V, 0...5 V or 1..5 V are available electrically isolated on the output side.

Hi Barry,  I know your question was for alternate analog input boards, but have you considered a simple voltage divider (two resisters or maybe a single 10K potentiometer)  to tap the 24VDC down to lets say 6vdc for your input card?  Probably lots less expensive than another input card (if this is the only reason to get higher voltage one)
