Sensor damaged by water, what to do?

I have the photoelectric sensor 67-0728 as you can see in this link: http://literature.rockwellautomation.com/idc/groups/literature/documents/pp/42gr1-pp001_-en-p.pdf

The Product: 60-GR1-24UL325 as you can see from this link

http://raise.rockwellautomation.com/RAConfig/resultsComponents.asp?CID=5A8E4ED3F52049CA9A21A8A8875AD...

after two days of rain, the water got inside the supposedly water tight unit and damaged the unit. In its normal states, three lights would be on:red, green and yellow but now only one two lights are on. What can I do?

Thanks,

Re: Sensor damaged by water, what to do?

If you can't dry it out sufficiently with a heat-shrink gun...looks like you're going to be buying a new one.  Make sure where it's installed it is protected against physical damage or chemicals.  These can sometimes ruin the "water-tight" nature.  Of course you have to remember that "water-tight" does not necessarily mean "waterproof."
