Hey,
I have a 2094 - BC01 - MP5 K6K drive with an MPL - B1510V Motor.
The issue i am having is that each time i cycle the power i loose the position i.e i turn it off when the motor is at 0 and turn it on and its at 295. I picked the homing mode to absolute as i thought this would sort it but no. Can anyone point me in the right direction
regards
J

First of all, does the motor have an absolute feedback device either single or mulit turn.
If so, need to perform the absolute home function with the axis configured for absolute and immediate.
After execution of the MAH, check the axisname.AbsoluteReferenceStatus bit. It should be 1.
Then power cycle. It should remain a one.
If not, check tech note 31789.
Also, if you are using a single turn absolute device on a motor that is require to make more then one revolution, this bit will clear on power up because it can only determine where it is within one revolution.
