We have been using Proposal Works with no problems until the last day or two. Now we receive the following message when attempting to apply the Pricing Agreement:
"The Pricing Agreement contained no usable data"
We have not made any changes to the agreement file and I tried a backup copy that I was sure had not been modified and still received same error message. In addition I loaded Proposal Workson a computer that had never had it loaded before and still received the same message. This is for the January 2009 version.
Has a change been made to Proposal Works that may have caused this problem?

Hello-
Do you think you could send us a copy of the agreement you are trying to apply. We have not changed the agreement functionality but we have allowed for another format to be applied, this change should not have effected any existing agreements. I have found that there may be a small format problem that could have happened when someone open the excel file. Things liek Sell Mult and Sell Net are not capatalized, since they are case sensitive or maybe there is an extra character that got inserted into the excel file somehow. We are really good at troubleshooting this for you, but it helps us to review the agreement that is causing you a problem. If you could please send a copy to PST_Support@ra.rockwell.com we can review ti for you. You can also call us at 414-382-4200 and we can walk through it over the phone as well.
Thanks-
Jen

Jen,
We just tried this on another PC that has not had automatic updates enabled and it works with our existing pricing agreement file. I think maybe it is something to do with the recent functionality enhancement you spoke of.
Did you get the copy of my agreement file?
Dan

Thanks Dan, yes I did get the copy and I think I see what our developer may have done. We wouldn't have caught this in testing either. Your format is 100% correct and it is one of the formats we tested, with one exception, we never added any columns after the Sell Mult or sell net and you have a few other column headings listed after that. When I tried to apply your agreement I got the 'no useable data message' you were seeing. When I deleted the headings after Sell Net, the argeement applied fine. Can you tell me if that works for you?
I will speak to the developers about that in the meantime. I think if you remove those column headings (OL, UL, etc) your agreements will totally work again.
Thanks-
Jen

Jen,
Right you are, that darn Rockwell rep should have never added those headers fields to the right of the "offical" template columns.![]()
I can't remeber now if it was "Fred" or "Joe" that did that.
Thanks for your and Amy's help!
