Product Selection Toolbox 2009 version available for all users

The Product Selection Toolbox 2009 DVD is available for download from ab.com/e-tools or by ordering publication number PST-SG001E-EN-V.  This version is for Sales and Customers and gives the ability for users to look up list pricing, view product details and certifications, get drawings, apply agreements and cross reference product.  This year, among other things, we introduced a 'lighter' install option.  Users now have the option to install all of the supplements or to get the supplements on demand (this option will use the internet to pull the supplements).

The applications included on this DVD are:

ProposalWorks

Integrated Architecture Builder IAB

CrossWorks

eCADworks

eCADworks Clipboard

CenterONE

Current Program Updater

MCS Star

Rail Builder

Motion Analyzer

Re: Product Selection Toolbox 2009 version available for all users

We are currently rolling out PST2009 for new distributorship training as a primary sales tool in Australia.

One thing I have experienced is: Using ProposalWorks

The "Product configurator- Powered by RAISE" now hangs without bringing up the GUI ie continues to say "Configuration Loading.....Please wait" I initially thought it was an install error. After having unistalled & reinstalled twice with no success.

I thought it was possibly a Java error so made sure the latest versions were loaded.

I am at a loss of what to do next as RA Aust cannot support this.

This occurs with Internet connection & without.

Re: Product Selection Toolbox 2009 version available for all users

We would be happy to help you.  This 'configuration loading' message has happened on a few users computers.  There are a few things you can check to see if it helps and if these things don't work send us an email at RAAppRAISE@ra.rockwell.com with your contact information and we will give you a call and see if we can get you fixed.

One thing to check is in Internet Explorer.  Look under Tools > Internet Options and go to the Connections tab.  Click on LAN settings.  Are you using a Proxy server?  If you are please make sure the Bypass proxy server for local addresses button is checked.  If you are using a proxy server and this box is not checked, please check it and then go back into ProposalWorks and see if you can now configure.  If that didn't work try this ...

In windows explorer go to C:\Program Files\RAISE\RuntimeCache and delete the contents of the CSS, JS, and XSL folder.  Close all PST applications and then run Current program updater.  When the updater is complete try to open a configuration again.  If that didn't work please e-mail or call 414-382-4200.

Thanks-

Jen
