Format for Proposal Works pricing file.

I had Proposal Works installed on my PC with multipliers in an Excel spreadsheet so I could do proposals with my pricing applied.  This worked great until a recent update (Nov 08).  Now any proposals I do have mulitpliers of 1.0.  When I select my multiplier spreadsheet, it returns an error that there is a column missing in the spreadsheet.  Is there anywhere that lists the columns needed for the latest release of Proposal Works?  The "Help" files was fairly generic.

Thanks,

Re: Format for Proposal Works pricing file.

Hi sorry for the delay the forums weren't working correctly for me.  I think you are talking about the discount multiplier table. You can populate that table by going to the distributor extranet and downloading from Complete Information > Products > Software > Product Selection Toolbox > Downloads .  There is an article called populate your discount schedule multiplier table in proposal works.  If you follow those directions everything will be populated.  If you do not have access to the extranet you can call your distributor and ask them to send you an excel file with only your multipliers in it.  You would then be able to copy and paste into your discount schedule multiplier file.

Thanks!

PS-  The help file is currently being updated.  There will be a new help file in the next month or so.

Re: Format for Proposal Works pricing file.

What about the ability to show only sell price?  When applying an agreement it requires a particular format.  For my customers, it would be really helpful if they could use a spreadsheet with their PGC multipliers.  Is it possible to provide a spreadsheet to the customer that lists the sell multipliers without cost, and have Proposal Works use the file for pricing.

Once you have your agreement set up and working you need to open the agreement .xls file and change the Req Mult and App Mult in all rows to 1.0. Also change the Req Net and App Net in all rows to zero.  Then save the changes. This way your end customer can't see the cost. Remember to click Refresh to make sure the "costs" are removed.

Re: Format for Proposal Works pricing file.

I am trying to use this tool but am having an issue with creating a pricing file.  I have laid out a sheet that is identical to what is displayed in help file, but when I attempt to load it I get the following message:

The Price Agreement File contained no usable data.

I have played with it alot and get the same message.

I tried to attach the file, but the system says it will only take a jpg, gif, or png file.  I renamed the .xls file to be a .gif file to get it to attach.  If you get it, it can be renamed to a .xls file to be viewed.

Can someone please take a look at it and let me know what is wrong with it?

Re: Format for Proposal Works pricing file.

Thanks much.  It worked.  Knew it would be something simple - just couldn't figure it out.  For others reading this post, the fix was to ensure that the SELL NET coulumn had 0 filled in for all entries.  I had left them blank and ProposalWorks would not recofnize them.
